Arrival at the Paro International Airport. Complete your customs and immigration. Meet and greet from our Bhutanese Guide and transfer to your hotel in the capital city of Bhutan, Thimphu.
Enroute stop at Chuzom, confluence of Thimphu (Wang Chhu) and Paro rivers (Pa Chhu). Here you will see three Stupas, built in Bhutanese, Tibetan, and Nepalese styles. It will take around 01h30m to reach.
Later, continue your journey towards your hotel in Thimphu. After reaching, complete the check-in process. Relax and freshen up.
Enjoy the rest of the time free for leisure. Enjoy the hotel amenities, explore your nearby surroundings, cafes, streets, shops, etc, or relax in your room and recharge yourself for the upcoming days.
After completing your day, enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, embark on a Thimphu City Tour. You will be taken to visit some of the major sights of Thimphu.
You will start your day by visiting the Kuensel Phodrang, the gigantic Buddha Dordenma Statue located atop a hill offering a magnificent view of Thimphu Town.
Later you will visit the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in 1974 to honor the third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck circumambulated by people offering prayers. It will take you around a 30m walk/15m drive to reach.
Next, you will visit the Folk Heritage Museum, a traditional house giving an insight into the Bhutanese lifestyle and artifacts from the rural households. It will take you around a 20m walk/10m drive to reach.
Later, enjoy your lunch (on your own) and energize yourself for the rest of your day.
After lunch, visit Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Thimphu, and Motithang Takin Reserve, a wildlife reserve center for Takin, the national animal of Bhutan.
Later, in the evening visit Tashichho Dzong, Fortress of the Glorious Religion. This impressive fortress houses some ministries, His Majesty’s secretariat, and the central monk body.
After completing your day, return to your hotel. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, complete your check-out process and enjoy your transfer to Paro.
Enroute stop at Tamchog Lhakhang, situated between Thimphu and Paro built in the 13th century by Thangthong Gyalpo also known as the Iron Bridge builder. Continue your drive to Paro.
On arrival visit Ta Dzong, an ancient watch tower overlooking Paro Valley built in 1951 and now converted into a national museum.
Later, visit the Paro Rimpung Dzong, also known as Fortress of the Heap of Jewels, built during the time of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646. Next walk down to Nemi Zam Bridge, also known as Nya Mey Zam Bridge is a traditional covered cantilever bridge connecting Paro town to the Dzong and Kyichu Lakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples of Bhutan.
Later, continue your drive to your hotel in Thimphu. After reaching, complete the check-in process. Relax and freshen up. Enjoy the rest of the time free at leisure. Later, enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast embark on visiting the Paro Sightseeing Tour.
Today, you will visit the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), home of gods and monks located at an altitude of 3100m in the Upper Paro Valley, Bhutan. As per legend, Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery. The hike to the Monastery takes about 4 - 5 hours to complete. As the hike to Taktsang Monastery is steep coupled with stiff stairs, it is not recommended to take the hike with small children and elderly people.
Later after completing your day, return to your hotel. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, enjoy your later morning in Bhutan at leisure.
Visit your favorite nearby surroundings, café, shops, streets, etc. on your own. Later, complete your check-out process and you will be dropped at Paro Airport for your return journey.
