Amman International Airport – Amman Hotel

Welcome to Jordan!

Arrival at the Amman International Airport. Complete your customs and immigration. Meet and greet from our tour representative and transfer to your hotel. After reaching your hotel, complete the check-in process. The standard check-in time at your hotel is 16:00. Relax and freshen up. Enjoy the rest of the time at leisure. Enjoy the hotel amenities or explore your nearby surroundings, cafes, streets, etc. or you can just relax in your room and recharge yourself for the upcoming days. After completing the day, enjoy an overnight stay in Amman.

Day 02
Amman – Umm Qais - Ajloun – Jerash – Amman

Early morning breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, depart for a full-day sightseeing tour of some of the historic sites located just north of Amman.

Start with a visit to Umm Qais, also known as Gadara in classical times. It will take around 2 hours for you to reach. Umm Qais is a former ancient city perched on a wonderful hilltop overlooking the Northern Jordan Valley, the Sea of Galilee, and the Golan Heights. It is the largest city in the extreme northwest of the country, near Jordan’s border with Syria and Israel.

Continue your drive through pine forests and olive groves to reach the city of Ajloun. It will take you around 01Hr 15min to reach. After reaching, visit the Ajloun Castle more formally known as Qal'at Ar-Rabad. It was built by one of the Islamic governors under Saladin in 1184 AD to control the iron mines of Ajloun. The castle enjoys a great location offering bird’s-eye views over the surrounding countryside and over three major wadis (valleys).

Next head to the ancient city of Jerash often referred to as ‘Pompeii of the East’. This is one of the best-preserved classical cities in the region. It will take you around 40 minutes to reach. Enjoy a wander around the remarkable ancient ruins including visits to the Oval Plaza, the Temple of Zeus, and the South Theatre, the larger of the two theatres, seating more than 3000 spectators.

After completing the day, return to your hotel. Enjoy your dinner (on your own) and an overnight stay in Amman.

Day 03
Amman City Tour - Amman

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, embark on a City Tour to discover the highlights of Amman.

Start your day by visiting the Amman Hilltop Citadel. It is an archeological site at the center of downtown, Amman. The L-shaped hill is one of the seven hills that originally made up Amman. The Citadel has a long history of occupation by many great civilizations.

Later, visit the impressive Roman Amphitheatre. This is a 6,000-seat, 2nd-century Roman theatre. A famous landmark in Amman that dates back to the Roman period when the city was known as Philadelphia.

Later enjoy your lunch (on your own) and head towards West Amman. A contrast to downtown Amman, this area is home to an overabundance of upmarket hotels, high-end restaurants, and lively bars along with some of the city’s most attractive residential neighborhoods.

Continue with a walk along atmospheric Rainbow Street which offers a wealth of dining options, cafés and quirky shops.

After completing your day, return to your hotel in Amman and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 04
Amman - Madaba - Nebo - Shobak - Petra

Early breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, enjoy a morning drive out of the city to Madaba.

Madaba is an ancient city/town located on the southwest side of Amman. It will take you a 30-minute drive to reach. Madaba is otherwise referred to as the “City of Mosaics”. The most famous is the mosaic map of Jerusalem and the holy land which can be found on the floor of St. George Church.

Later, continue with a visit to Mount Nebo, one of the most important biblical sites in Jordan. It will take you a 15-20 mins drive to reach. It is an elevated ridge located approximately 700mts above the sea level. Mount Nebo is mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the promised land before his death.

Later, enjoy your final stop today, a visit to Shoubak castle. Shoubak is a place located on the southwestern side of Amman. It will take you a 2h30m drive to reach. It has a population of around 19297. At one of the highest elevations above sea level in Jordan, this place Is famous for apples and fruit farms. Set atop a mountain, Shoubak castle is an enchanting castle that was built in AD 1115 under the rule of King Baldwin I of Jerusalem to guard the road-sinking Syria and Egypt. Enjoy the visit and learn the history there.

After finishing your sightseeing tour, continue with the drive to Petra. It will take you around 35 - 40 minutes’ drive to reach. After reaching your hotel, complete the check-in process. Relax and freshen up. Enjoy dinner on your own and later an overnight stay in Petra.

Day 05
Petra visit – Wadi Rum

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, embark on a guided tour around one of the world's most famous and awe-inspiring archaeological sites – the UNESCO World Heritage Listed ancient city of Petra.

Start by entering through the Siq, the main entrance to Petra. It will take you around a 15-minute drive to reach. The Siq is a narrow gorge that winds for abound 1.2 kilometers and ends at The Treasury (Al-Khazneh). The Treasury is arguably one of Jordan’s most iconic wonders and was featured in the film ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’. Spend some time exploring the city’s main highlights including the Roman Theatre, Street of Façades, and the Royal Tombs.

Later after completing your tour, your next stop today will be Wadi Rum. It will take you around a 1h45m drive to reach. After reaching, complete the check-in process. Relax and freshen up. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Bedouin-style dinner beneath the star-studded sky. After completing the day, enjoy an overnight stay in Wadi Rum.

Wadi Rum – Aqaba

Later, Discover the many towering sandstone mountains and narrow canyons of this magnificent desert wilderness on a 2-hour 4WD safari. There is also the opportunity to explore with a ride on the back of a camel.

After completing your exploration, drive out of the desert and continue onto the beautiful beach resort of Aqaba. (50 kms/approx. 1hr 15 mins). After reaching, complete the check-in process. Relax and freshen up. The rest of the time is at leisure exploring Aqaba, so why not indulge in a spot of retail therapy or simply relax by the Red Sea?

After completing the day, enjoy an overnight stay in Aqaba.
